Spring Gouette discovered the joy of teaching music while still in high school. Her high school choir director gave her opportunities to assist, and conduct, and a local piano teacher asked Spring to take on her children as piano students. She was hooked on helping others to make music, and has been teaching music privately, or in schools, ever since!

She also fell in love with theater and singing as a child, singing her first solo in a production at age 5, and performing in a singing group.
She went on to study music at Gordon College in MA and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music and a concentration in education. She began writing original works for the stage in her 20's. She has also played piano in the pit/accompaniment for local theaters and recitals, occasionally appeared on stage, recording and releasing two CD's of original songs along the way.
Spring opened Broad Street Music Studio, now a division of New River Performing Arts, upon moving to New Auburn in 2016, where she continues to teach piano, woodwinds, singing/choir, music theory and songwriting. She is thrilled to have her grown daughters working in the studio now as well.
Spring is grateful for the team of people that has formed around the vision of New River Performing Arts, including her husband and some of their children, and talented local theater arts instructors and directors!
